Robert Half uses this administrative period to process your information and notify you. This means that you will not hear from Robert Half on the exact day you reach 12 consecutive months of work. If you are determined to be eligible, you will be notified after the administrative period ends. |
New Hampshire and Vermont residents are not eligible for Group Hospital Indemnity Plans, Short-Term Disability, Life and AD&D Insurance, and Critical Illness & Accident Insurance. Hawaii residents are not eligibile for the High-Deductible Medical Plan, Preventive Care Plus Plan, and Short-Term Disability.
Dependent Eligibility Rules
Keep in mind the following if you enroll your:
Spouse or domestic partner:
- If your spouse or domestic partner is also a Robert Half contract professional, neither of you may be insured both as a contract professional and as a dependent. If both of you would like to enroll in the Preventive Care Plus Plan or the High-Deductible Medical Plan, you both must enroll as a contract professional.
Children:
- Children include your and/or your spouse’s/domestic partner’s biological or adopted children, stepchildren and children for whom you and/or your spouse/domestic partner have been granted formal legal guardianship.
- Children are eligible up to age 26. If your child is physically or mentally disabled, coverage may continue beyond age 26, once proof of ongoing disability is provided and approved by the carrier.
When to Enroll
Open Enrollment for 2023 is November 21 to December 9, 2022. New hires must enroll within 30 days of becoming eligible, regardless of whether or not this falls within an Open Enrollment period. Click here to see the chart. If you don’t enroll within 30 days of your eligibility date, you must wait until the next Open Enrollment period, unless you experience a qualifying life event.
If you experience a qualifying life event during the year, you may enroll for coverage in new plans and make changes to existing coverage within 30 days of the event. Your benefit elections or changes must be consistent with the event, and documentation of the event may be required.
You have 30 days from the date of the qualifying life event (60 days in the event of a Children’s Health Insurance Program [CHIP]/Medicaid event) to contact The American Worker to make a change in your coverage. If you fail to do so, you must wait until the next annual Open Enrollment period, or the occurrence of an additional qualifying life event, to make a change in your benefits.
